Asphalt Plant Operator Workshop

The following is our 2007 training schedule. The 20 hour workshops plus 'The Living Safety Program for Hot Mix Asphalt Plants' on-line training are keyed to improve production, improve mix quality, improve energy efficiency, improve safety, improve maintenance costs. We discuss attendees particular problems associated with these keys. As the class unfolds, we troubleshoot the attendees particular problems so they have corrective actions they can take to resolving their problem. This class is most likely the most advanced class offered addressing plant safety issues, production performance and electrical troubleshooting. Attendees receive 8 hours of electrical training to include individual live troubleshooting, 4 hours of plant maintenance-operation-calibration, 8 hours of combustion, burner tune up, drying, heating, pollution control, stack test preparation, energy use expectations and troubleshooting, production expectations and trouble shooting. Attendees also receive 2 hours of safety training, including:

  • Interactive Plant Safety Program to develop OSHA Required Lock Out and Confined Space Procedures
  • Handling Asphalt Oil
  • Safety Interlock Check Procedure
  • Fire and Explosion Prevention
  • Two 500 page Reference Manuals
