SAMPLE 2 Plant Operation Consulting Reports

10/17/97….RE: PLANT CONSULTATION

GENTLEMEN;

Here’s that book I promised you that answers questions on your systems drying capacities. Read it a couple of times. Call if you have questions. Fill in the blanks and send me a copy.

I took pictures of your silo. We can start looking for a 150 ton for you. I put some further thought to this. Most silos come with a slat. I suggest getting one with the slat conveyor. Use the slat conveyor for the 150 ton and chute the mix down to the 90 ton by means of a divert gate.

When you move for portable work, use the 90 ton silo with it’s slat.

As we discussed before, changing things out one piece at a time is the best thing to do starting with the cold feed.

Next you should take down the batching tower. Buy a counterflow continuous mix drum with a portable control house.

Your plant would be portable except the baghouse. Since cranes are no big deal to you, moving the stationary baghouse may not be a big deal to you until you got a portable baghouse.

I would immediately change out the burner control and add an automatic damper control. This is causing excessive fuel usage, can be dangerous and you may acquire some downtime because there are no prints and little is known about it. A good burner and damper control will run about $6200.

Sincerely,

Clarence Richard
